Default 1969 deluxe coupe value and and where in Portland, OR to have it checked out?

Hi, I am looking at a 1969 deluxe/bench coupe (302V8/2V, C4 auto) that's for sale here, in pretty decent shape rust-wise/mechanically, needs paint and minor body work.

Any thoughts on value, and also (probably more importantly), any good places in the Portland, Oregon area to take this car for a check-out exam before I buy?

Buyer is asking $7995 and will need to come down for me to be willing, I think. If anyone can help me out with these questions I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

For that price it better be rust free or close to it.Id find a old mechanic or your local mustang club can help you out a lot.

Don't know about value but it does seem on the high side slightly.

I can tell you that there were only 504 deluxe coupes with a bench seat in 69, that car is very unique. It would have a code of "65D" on the door tag if it's still present/original to the car. If you know the interior color or code I could look it up in my books and possibly break it down further for you if you want. 1969 was the last year the bench seat was offered too, only 4,635 cars got them.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
