Default Brake question for a 1966 Mustang

Well, I got the 66 Mustang coupe for my wife last Friday. She was VERY excited. It has manual Drum brakes that I really don't like very much. What should I convert it to? I really don't know the difference between Drum and disc brakes. Should I convert it from manual to power? Is this something that someone with ZERO current mechanical ability could do (I am willing to learn for her)?

I found an earlier post about a similar topic. I have decided that I will go with manual disc brakes. And you better believe I will have someone who knows what they are doing installing them! I am an idiot when it comes to cars.

My daughter has been driving my 66 as a daily driver for about a year now which had drums all the way around and there bad. Besides not being able to stop well, I feared the master cylinder(single resevior), if you get a leak in your brake system you'll lose all brakes. So about 3 or 4 months ago I did a disc brake conversion with a dual resevior master cylinder non-power from Stainless Steel Brake Corp. It worked out great, pretty easy installation, all parts included in the kit, & I sleep alittle better at night. I think its MONEY WELL SPENT.
