Default 1972 351c 4V Identification Help

Have a 351 Clev in stock Engine Casting number D2AE-CA, believe from a Galaxy or truck, Intake cast # is D1ZX-9425-CA, it has a 4spd manual transmission attached RF-D2AR-7006-CBW1. Supposidly a 72 HO motor but block and trans numbers not a match . Any help to id this combo? Block should be a D2ZE-A for a true HO

Pull the valve covers, the HO engine has adjustable rockers and pushrod guides.

Is the block a 4 bolt? The HO blocks were all 4 bolt mains.

sounds to me like you have a 2v cleveland block (2 bolt mains) and 4-barrel heads and intake. the 4v heads are a closed chamber design for higher compression is massive intake and exhaust runners. these heads make amazing top end power, but are not the greatest on throttle response. 2v heads are open chambered, with smaller intake and exhaust runners. They have great throttle response, but sacrafice the hp of the 4v heads.
