Default 1966 Mustang Coupe, pros and cons of Shelby side exhaust?

Considering the Shelby side dump exhaust for my stock 66 coupe 289 2v automatic. It would be for looks and sound only, but I was wondering if it is to low to the ground and if putting the car on a lift is a problem with this exhaust set up. I have stock manifolds and 1" lowering front coil springs. Any input, good or bad, will help me with my decision. Thanks, Tom.

I ran them for a few years exiting just in front of rear wheels without a problem and that's after exhaust pipe guy said I would drag them off. May be illegal as you might want to check your area.

i wasnt aware of any cons to those... they are cool, loud, and well....cool, but they might be illegal..

Thanks folks, I will check with the local laws. Because Ford did produce cars with this set up, I'm hoping I can convince them it was a stock option, "even though it was not on my model". Hush Hush
