Default 1969 Mach 1 or Gt

I got a 1969 Mach 1 S code(body code 63C ) on the buck tag it has a GT option code. Is this common ? And what was the GT option ? How can it have a Mach1 body code and a GT option. I have owned many Mach 1's and never seen one with this option code. It has the GT hubcaps instead of the plain Mach 1 caps.Other
than that I see nothing else different. Is it rare to have both???

Id try talking to Marti Auto Works - concours quality parts at hobbyist prices ! he has all the info on the early mustangs. As far as i know gt means you got front disc brakes and a 9 inch rear and half of the vin is stamped somewhere on the engine.I'm not 100% on that tho.

Default Mach 1 with Gt options.

I own 3 69 Mach 1's (428cj,428scj,390) The SCJ has frt. disc brakes and a 9inch rear without the GT option. So it wouldnt make sense as to that being the GT option. I also believe all Big block Mach1's had 9 inch standard. This also has GT hubcaps which I have never seen on a Mach 1. And on the option tag it list frt. disc brakes as an option. It gots the typical Mach 1 interior and I dont see anything different about the car. So I still dont know how it can be a Mach 1 with a GT option on buck tag

Yes all big block cars had a 9 inch too.The 428scj was drag package and gt500kr only. Those center caps are easy to replace id talk to marti they can tell you what it really is.
