ARe you sure the flexplate was the correct wieght. Also check to see that your motor mounts are tight. And if they are solid mounts they will cause vibs..

Default Vibration

I had the same problem, the whole car was vibrating, as it turns out, My harmonic balancer was the wrong weight. make sure your flywheel and balancer are compatible.

Does the car only vibrate when it is in motion ? ->> yes, what type of transmission are you running ? Do anything with clutch, drivetrain, tires, etc ? Could be a wide range of things, depends on the vibration and when it is happening. Give as many details as you can so we can help to find the vibration problems.

Thanks!

I had the same problem too in fact I am still having it to a lesser extent. It sounds to me like when you are sitting in park and you rev the engine slowly, the vibration gets worse the higher the RPMS. Is that correct? But it is probably smooth as silk at idle. Are you noticing any black discharge from your exhaust or powdery black deposits on your spark plugs? No smoke, just a black, wet discharge. I have a 289 hipo with a 4100 autolite carb. I was experiencing the same problem as you. I even replaced the flexplate (although it was for another reason) but it didn't fix it. In park the car would vibrate so bad I thought it would break the motor mounts. What I ended up doing was adjusting the air/fuel mixture screws on the carb. It was burning very rich. The 4100s seem to run lean. I still have a little vibration but now it is a lot better than it was. I believe I am going to lean out the mixture a little more until I get it right. If you have a 2100/4100 carb this may work for you.
