Default Under the Dash AC Unit

Alrighty, I was told this was an Under the Dash AC unit from a '66 stang, but looking at the pic you can see it is not. But my question is, where does this belong and does it belong to a stang at all ?

Found one and only one tag that says ARA and has a serial number. The only thing that I can see is wrong with the unit is the chrome is a bit faded on the front.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Nope not Mustang at all, too big!

As Andrew said Ford truck or van if Ford at all. Could be GM, Chrysler or even part of an aftermarket A/C set up and whatever it is it's from the 70s by the look of it. If it lacks a manufacturer mark I'd guess it was aftermarket for something else. The car manufactures normally have thier logo molded into the parts somewhere so you'd see the Ford logo on it or the Chrysler penstar or the "GM" in the square box.

Definitely not from a 66 Mustang. I'm just guessing that whoever has it has parted out several cars over the years and got that mixed in with the Mustang stuff, I've seen that happen many times.

Default It looks like something I have seen in a Torino...

That unit looks like something I have seen in a '68 - '71 Torino or some full-size Ford.

Probably a dealer-installed setup.
