Default Is 1967-1968 License Lamp Same as 1970?

I wonder if anyone can shed a little light on the mysteries of the 1970 license plate lamp. Mine's missing in action but the NPD and Mustangs Unltd catalogs only show a part for '67-'68 and then it jumps over to another piece for the '71-'73. Meanwhile, CJ Pony Parts shows a common listing for 1967-1970. Does anybody know if the '67-'68 is the same as the '69-'70 as CJ's listing would imply? http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/im...s/confused.gif

Thanks all!!!

I have no clue but you could get one of those license plate frames that has the light built in it.

I have the latest catalog from CJs and there is a disclaimer under the 67-70 light that says "Made like 67-68. Will fit 69-70 with some modifications." My guess is they are close but not the same. There probably isn't a reproduction being made for it yet, or CJs would have it. If you give them a call they can probably explain what the differences are.

I just saw the same question over at the VMF. The 67-68 will work on a 69-70 but the wiring length needs to be longer and the light will need to be bent out some (the mounting tabs) as the later was slightly wider.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
