Default 429 cobra jet questions

i got a big question.. this is what i want to do.. and all ya'll can tell me if it works. im joining the army and i want to get a 1965-1967 ford mustang. and i just got a 429 cobra jet.. and put a 5 speed tranny in it from the newer mustangs and i know i will have to upgrade the suspension and all the normal **** but the main question is will the motor fit without ALOt of modification

depending on which model of '67 you get you will not only have to upgrade the suspension but you have to cut it out and move it. People here know more about it than me so hopefully someone will give you some good advise.

If they could put a 390 into a 67 and a 428 into a 68, which is identical to a 67, the 429 will fit.

Going into a 66/66 will require modifications to the shock towers.

Yeah 67-73 both big blocks fit 64-66 is a huge job.

IF you put a 427/428/429 into a 68, it is a shoehorn job, I'm extremely tempted, but you have to jack up the engine to change the spark plugs! it is possible but it is an insanely tight fit!

well from doing some checking on the net.. i can do a 1965 429.. i have to change out the front suspension so there is no shock towers.. and some other stuff but it shouldnt be too bad to do. since talking to people that have done it and what to do and what not to do
