Default 1968 mustang coupe backspacing

hey guys hows it going?
im having a little issue here picking my new rims.
i was wanting to go either..
15x7 or 15x8 all four wheels
or 17" wheels.

my question is... will i be able to just pop them on or do i need other parts and work done? As of right now the coupe is stock except front disc brakes..holley carb.. and air filter.

any help is appreciated! thanks!

can someone move this to the right forum i posted in the wrong place.

Different strokes for different folks i love the 71-73 body style but most don't.

There's the simple fact that the 68 had the least produced over the other model years, only 317,404. The 65s had the biggest production run which covered some 16 months or so and sold 680,989. That's more than half of the 68 production. 66 production was over 600k too.

Ford got hurt bad during the 68 model year due to a strike that shut the plants down for 2 months and completely halted production during that time. Mustang sales were slipping too as it had competition for a year now from the Camaro and Firebird and some of the Chrysler and AMC products.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
