Default 1970 Mustang coupe first restoration need help

Howdy, Todd Bourbon here. I am getting ready to take on the big effort of restoring my moms 1970 mustang coupe. It looks like it is nothing special just 302 2 barrel v-8 regular coupe. I got a restoration book and it is huge. Should I just start breaking into this thing and taking everythign appart or should I see if I can just do some simple fixes? Are there any cool motifaction I can do to make this a little more interseting to look at. Can I convert it to a convertible or anything like that? Anyway just looking to get some help on this thing.

Thanks

Todd Bourbon

Making it a convertible is a huge job gotta cut the roof off and change the floor pan.Look at Mustang Parts from Mustang Depot, Ford Mustang Parts 1965-Up CJ Pony Parts - Ford Mustang Parts Mustang Project - Discount Mustang Restoration Parts LED Tail Lights 2005 2006 2007 Mustang Parts Theres a lot you can do to the car to make it look handle and stop better.Get a idea in your head how you want this car and a realistic budget.

Based on your personal preference, you can start in many different places.
You can make it all stock, how it came out of the factory,
OR, you can make it Restomod, all modern amenities, just a classic body
You could start with your engine, it has a two barrel carb? you may want to upgrqade to a 4-barrel, also look at the exhaust, i've got flowmaster and it sounds really good!

Start with the simple fixes, the last thing you want to do is take apart the whole car!
