Default Motor Mount Question

Good Afternoon All:

I am trying to find out if there is a way to mount a 1971 Ford 302 Motor into a 1966 Mustang. I have taken out the original in line six cylinder and am wanting to put in this "71" 320. I see on suppliers list of motor mounts that they only go up to the year 1970! Will these mounts work or do I need to find something else, or get a different engine ?

get the standoffs and mounts for a 66 289. as far as the mounts to the block there is no differance between the 289 and 302. A 351 also has the same mounting point.

Thanks for the reply. I just really didnt know if there was any difference. I have two bolt heads coming out of the block. Will these two bolts mount to the motor mounts or is it only one that attatches to them? Thanks again

The motor mounts attach to the 2 7/16-14 holes about the middle of the block.

Use a set of 1968 mustang v8motor mounts..............they are exactly what you will need, 1967 mounts are a stand alone, made for the 1967 only.

Lakewood makes mounts that are oem style but stronger.
