Default Got the 1965 Mustang convertible appraised ... im happy

so i have a 1965 mustang convertible. Rangoon Red, white top, red/white interior. Power steering, non power 4 wheel drum brakes, 289 2V w/ auto, 28,900 original miles.

Took it up to Duffy's in Cedar Rapids (car is back at my grandmas house not my place up here by chicago).

Im paying my grandma $10k for the car but she only wants $125 a month. Said she wouldnt mind just giving it to me but she doesnt have anything to give my brother, sister, or cousin. Oh well though, im happy. $125 a month, no interest plus its grandma and a year or 2 down the road she will probably just tell me to stop paying haha.

anyway though, the appraisal went really well. The guy was pretty amazed by the car since its pretty much close to original with no body rust or anything since the car came from Tuscon Arizona and has never seen snow or salt.

He is typing up the papers and mailing them to me (had someone there looking to buy a car otherwise i would have left with them) but he said that if they gave it a little polish and cleaned up the engine bay they would list & sell the car for $30,000

Makes me happy, but now i will be paying a little more for insurance haha

ha, not really. I will drive it once in a while but probably wont put many miles on it per year.

It wont be that hard for me to do becuase i live up by Chicago and the car is 3 hours away at my parents house.

Well its between my parents house & grandmas. Parents have the 4 car plus a 1 car garage thats attached to the house but they have 3 cars and a boat so if im gone it goes to my grandmas house but they bring it back to their house if im going to be back for the weekend.

It did ignite the fire that had been smoldering under my ass for a while though. Been wanting to restore an old T/A ... been looking just dont have a place to really work on it so im holding off for now
