Default '72 Mach 1 question:

I'm thinking of purchasing a Q-code '72 Mach1 however this car does NOT have a chin spoiler or a rear wing. My question is: did Ford produce, or offer '72 M1's without these features? Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes, interestingly it was an option even for the Mach 1. My friends 1971 didn't have a chin spoiler on it when he bought it either. He bought a repro from Year One and it fit pretty bad-there's a large bow in the middle of it.

The mach1 never came with the chin spoiler only the boss in 71 did.But a lot of dealers did put the chin spoiler on them and the rear wing was optional too.If its my car id add them they look better and do help too.

Front spoiler was an option on the Mach 1, as was the rear spoiler. Most 71-73 Mach 1 cars were equiped with the front spoiler. It could have just been taken off and never replaced.
