I've been trying all night to find somewhere that can decode the buck tag for my 70 and I can't find anywhere other than a marti report. Does anyone have a clue? Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much! I think the car has been repainted and they didn't cover up the door tag before painting it. So it's either been painted over or it's just not there anymore.

0F03F200256 is the VIN, it breaks down as:

0 - last digit of model year, 1970
F - plant code, built at Dearborn
03 - code for convertible body style
F - engine code, 302 2v
200256 - build number

76A - basic convertible, 6,199 were produced
D - exterior color, yellow
24 - the body was built in welding bay #24

BA - {I can't find this code anywhere}
PT - power top
RM - rocker molding
EC - evaporative emissions control

Your car was built in June of 70 by the VIN number as the closest I have is one shortly before yours that was built in June, 0F02G200120.

The "BA" code is the interior trim code (same as the door tag):

BA - Black , vinyl, standard
