I have one that is nearly identicle that came on my 1972 coupe. When a friend of mine was transporting the car to his farm for storage in 1989 he forgot to tell me that he was towing his subaru with it to put it in storage as well. (We were both in the military and were getting transfered so the cars had to go into storage.) Anywho, apperantly the subaru came unhitched at around 80 miles an hour in Arizona and he used the rear of the mustang to bring it to a stop. The result was a slight dent in the bumper and one of the side bars on the trailor hitch busted off. So when I took the car out of storage last weekend to restore it, I removed the hitch and have NO intentions of replacing it. |
