Default Emblems for 1966 Mustang 289 HiPo

We're finally completing a restoration and want to install correct exterior emblems. Didn't find a handy resource so thought I'd ask here. What emblems are correct? Where are they installed originally (we have some new body parts).

Default which emblems are you putting on the car?

Are these emblems the "High Performance" emblems that go behind the 289 emblem on the front of the fender, or the "GT" emblem and the "MUSTANG" letters at the rear of the fender?

Hello. The only badges that a hipo had that other Mustangs didn't were the 'High Performance' badges that go behind the 289 badges on the fenders, which Cobra6 mentioned. Here are a couple of pictures of that. The part number for the badge is C4ZB-16C236-A. Hope that helps.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info. Was thinking that might be the case but thought it best to ask someone who had been there and done that.
