Default my 66 mustang has water get in it.

i put new weather strips. and already messed up my paint by using some tricks from here anything else i could do?

You sure your cowl is not leaking?If there is water in the passanger side floor its probably the cowl.

With cowl leak there would be water at the juncture of the front floor pan and firewall on either driver, passenger, or both sides. Might also check to see if you have a leaking heater core on the passenger side. Both of these are very likely in an old stang.

Two of my '65-'66 Mustangs are leaking around the windshield. The leaks typically occur when the windshield/rear windshield are removed for a replacement headliner.

Often, people replace the original windshield gasket with a reproduction, and this reproduction is actually thinner than the original.

Couple that with glass shops that rarely test the re-installed windshield for leaks, and you have a problem.
