Going up to my bro's garage tomorrow in Duncansville, PA where we're finally going to paint the body. The jams, hood, trunk and trunk lid were done this week. Hopefully, we can get into wet-sanding and buffing Sunday evening. Then re-assembly will begin. It's looking like I will actually be able to do a little driving before it gets cold! More photos next week, I hope!

We spent all Saturday afternoon and night prepping for paint. Sunday, we shot the first base coat. Next is wet sanding to get rid of some flaws that showed after the first coat, another base coat and then the clear. Even though it's just the first base coat, it still looks pretty good. I'll post more photos as we progress.

Clear coat is on. Next is wet sanding and buffing. These pics really don't do justice, but more to follow soon.

Hopefully I can get started this coming weekend. We still have to paint and detail the engine bay. I'm going to install a Clifford exhaust port divider (between the #3 & 4 exh. ports) and also new rear leaf springs. I have a rebuilt Autolite 1100 to replace the Holley 1bbl that replaced the original 1100 before I got the car. I'm seriously considering getting one of the new Pony Carbs "Vaporizer" 1100's but that might be a Christmas present for me! The interior is completely stripped out right now and I have new carpeting and assorted interior trim to install. Fortunately, the seat upholstery and dash are in good shape so I don't need to replace them. I bought the car with a Grant wood steering wheel, but I'm going back to the original wheel style. I'm also installing an original console I picked up on ebay and restored myself. I'm also installing an original Rally Pac I also restored, with a little help from Gary, the Tach Man. I'm also replacing the windshield. The original has developed a lot of discoloration in the plastic sandwiched between the glass. Oh yeah, I picked up 4 OEM wheel covers w/spinners that will look real nice with the new Coker dual red lines I'm mounting. Can you tell I'm excited? I've attached some "before" and "during" interior photos. Hopefully some "after" photos will be coming soon!
