Any Suggestions? Decal Placement

For those wondering where all those decals get placed, I just added another sheet to my page to complete the detail decal placement for all classic Mustangs. Note the years under each decal to get the proper placement position.

Default What color do i paint it???????????

I have a 1966 Mustang GT Convertable and I would like to know what is the original color for the power steering pump. Most of the rebuilds show it in black but, I have been told that it is originally a type of blue?
Can anyone confirm?

Power steering pump and bracket are black. On some models the pulley is either black or blue.

Default I thought that some pumps were the blue/green color

Don,
I thought there were two kinds of PS pumps - depending on whether or not you had air - one maybe without AC was black and the other was the blue-green metallic color. I know the brackets were always black.

I know the original pump on my '67 vert was that blue-green color - and on later cars.

With your background I know you can probably educate me since my '65 and '66 do not have power steering.

Default PS pump

My '66 has factory air and the pump is black. There are blue-green metallic pumps on the non-A/C cars. In some instances, the assembly line will use a black pump if it is already on the line ready to be installed.
