1966 Mustang Restoration I am a Senior Citizen that still has a garaged 1966 Mustang coupe with a 289 that I bought for my son in 1978 for his first car, (cost $150 and I had to change one undersized piston that was installed, about $30 and 8 hours labor).
The car is in great shape and I am restoring it and need some ideas. I do not plan on showing it or racing it, just driving around and letting people be envious.
Color is my first question, I like a Candy Apple Red from my heydays in the 60s, but I also like that bright yellow used today.
I want to put some Chrome in the engine compartment, but I do not want to be gaudy. I am thinking valve covers, pullies, brackets and can not decide on the intake or exhaust manifolds.
I am open for suggestions, come on guys, help an old man and his wife look good in 66 Mustang!!!! |
