AFAIK, it doesn't exist. There was never any 5 speed autos the came from the factory behind a Windsor engine.

However, 4 speed autos are all over the place.

No matter, Just get a AOD out of a 86-93 V8 stang. I think that there is enough room to run one in the 68 b/c it has a larger trans tunnel. I know they dont fit on the 64 1/2-66 for sure, I tried and was not willing to cut that much!lol

If you get one that is rebuilt right then you can run up to about 500hp as long as you stay out of the gas when you are in OD. 1-D are fine though, I have a 67mm turbo in front of ours with a 3K stall and have never had any problems!

Good Luck!

ESPI73 get a 4R70W from a 98-2000 v-6 mustang and call Baumannengineering for the controll computer and wiring harness and you will have a 4 spd auto WITH a lockup - 5 speed. Done 4 so far and one is behind a full roller fuel injected 351 C. forget AOD

Why not the 4r75w the heavy duty truck tranny. The c4 and aod are still the most common ford trannys used.
