Default cleveland thermostat. who sells it ?

Apparently, the cleveland engine uses a thermostat different from the windsor. I cannot find a supplier for a specific cleveland thermostat. Any suggestions?

From what I am seeing all of the V8s used the same size thermostat from 1964 - 1995. I am not real familiar with Clevelands, what makes you think it is different?

Actually if you look it up on Advance Auto Parts website they do list two different thermostats. The Windsor has a little pointier nose. That's strange because my Mustang parts catalog lists one for all of the V8s.

Default thermostat

I have a couple clevlands. JUst go to advance, they will have one. Try to get the type that fails in the open position. You don't want to overheat this engine. I think they call it a motorad thermostat. If they don't have then look online.

Default cleveland thermostat

Apparently, the ford part # for a cleveland stat is RT310 or D7PZ-8575-A (180 deg)but my call to the ford parts man was not productive as he could not find a listing for that number. Anyone know if this is a good number ? The cleveland stat is supposed to have a larger 'foot' at the bottom to close the bypass plate hole. I may order a windsor and cleveland type from Advance to see the difference in the part numbers.

The Cleveland and Windsor use two completely different thermostats. If you put a Windsor tstat in a Clevo it's not going to work and you'll overheat. Here is a link to Cleveland tstats and part numbers.
