can anyone help me with this issue. i just installed all new suspension and power control valve in my 68. and i guess they all had this problem with the play in the steering wheel. the ball joint in the power control valve will move a bit before it engages the steering on the car. is there a way to rid this play in the control valve? or is their a better way by installing a power gear box if such one exist for this car. any help would be great....

I have a '74 Corvette that used to have a similar problem. There is an adjustment on the steering box itself that will compensate for the "play" in the steering wheel.

All of my Mustangs are manual steering, so I can't say for certain if the Ford system is the same.
