Default 1966 Mustang inner fender VIN number

Is there a way to have the VIN number of my car restamped onto the inner fender? I know my car was in an accident in the 80's where they had to replace the fenders, windshield, bumper, valance, stone shield, and the front inner fender on the passenger side. The only thing is, they didn't restamp the VIN into the inner fender.

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to--do you mean having the "hidden" VIN on the rear passenger-side fender apron restamped? If so, just know that that VIN isn't visible at all without pulling the fenders off the car.

If you're referring to the driver's side VIN that is on the driver's side fender apron, I'm not aware of anyone that can re-stamp that for you. Now, I have heard of people cutting the "hidden" VIN out of the right side and transplanting it onto the visible driver's side apron.

Aside from doing that, your best hope would probably be to search for a company that specializes in restamping engine blocks.

Yes, just buy a 3/16" letter and number stamp set along with a star stamp. I bought mine through MSC (Google it) an industrial supplier.

I had to replace my inner fender on my 68 and couldn't salvage the area where the original VIN was stamped. Just NEVER tell the DMV about what you're doing, even though it's legit in some states for "repair and restoration only" they can sometimes get nervous when they hear what was done.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
