That filter isn't stock, someone added it.
The factory filter is screwed into the base of the carb and there's a sock on the fuel sender pick up tube in the tank.
NAPA, Autozone, and others have the replacements for the carb, tank and they will even have inline replacement filters if you want to replace the glass one with a plastic one.
You used to be able to just replace the filter cartridge in those filters but finding a replacement these days my be tough. Some parts stores may have them, just use your old one as a size reference.
If you no longer want the glass one then get a replacement piece of fuel line to go between the metal line and the fuel pump.
