Default How Much HorsePower?

I just bought a 351 windsor... and I have ordered numerous parts for it. I was wondering if you guys could give some guesses as to how much horsepower it will make. It is a 1972 351 Windsor with a 408 stroker kit as well as an aluminum heads and intake, plus the cylinders are bored .030 over. These are the links to the parts I ordered...
Edelbrock 2092 - Edelbrock Power Package Top-End Kits - summitracing.com

Eagle Specialty Products 16524030 - Eagle Street and Strip Rotating Assemblies - summitracing.com

And also could anyone reccomend a good carb?

Fully built 408 strokers that run on pump gas should run around 500 HP. I'd say yours will run around 350-400 HP. You can't go wrong with a Holley 750 on it. Very nice choices on the packages! Also the package you got says Top End Engine Kit, Power Package, 400 HP, 412 ft. lbs., Intake/Heads/Cam, Ford, 351W, Kit. Not that it is always right and depends on allot of things but I think you can expect 350-400 HP as long as it is tuned right and you do all the right things.

Other than the parts you listed, what else are you doing to the engine? Zero decking the block, porting, etc. all play into the big picture of horsepower. For the street, 750cfm is pretty much right for that engine. It allows you a fair amount of latitude for tuning. I've run Holleys and Edelbrock and had good success with both. The Edelbrocks are a bit easier to tune, but the Holleys give you more tuning options. It's a matter of personal preference.
