Default 300 straight six in a Mustang?

Has anyone ever done/seen this? They seem to be plentiful and near-bullet-proof in the f-series. I can get my hands on a '66 Mustang pretty cheap through some family. I like the idea of having the 4.9L's fuel injection because I live at altitude. And I like idea of just doing something different!

I guess it could be done . The 300 is longer, taller and wider than the 144/200. It will have to be a custom (hammer in) fit , especially in a 66 Mustang.

Also the weight of it you'll need all the v8 parts like suspension spindles steering springs and rear end.

Don't they sell 85 Octane fuel, in Colorado, to deal with the altitude?
