5K may not be far off the mark. Check what some of the coupes are going for on Ebay. Granted that they may V8's and in better condition, however I do not see many that have been restored to show condition or in good original condition. If original, good condition, and a V8, probably 8K and up.
This will surprise you, my 14 year old son found a 1970 Mustang Coupe with a 302 that has been in a garage since 1989. The owner started to restore it, however time and money seemd to be the issue. The engine was rebuilt, new headliner, rear seat looks new, and the body has 3 minor rust spots that appear to surface only.
I paid $1200 for it. |
