I have a 1968 mustang that has the factory installed tachometer in the instrument cluster. How rare are the tachs? I do not see them very often.

Hello. I wouldn't exactly call them rare, but they certainly weren't common, either. You could get a Marti report on the car and that would tell you exactly how many cars came with a factory tach. Hope that helps.

Out of 317,423 Mustangs in the 68 model year only 8,147 got factory tachs. It breaks down as 2,332 coupes, 4,526 fastbacks and 1,289 converts.
