Hi again. You have to realize that they've been there for generations. It's their ancestral homeland. You are the unwelcome addition, according to them.
I may be the unwelcome addition, but when I cut out the floor and exposed the railing, nobody was home lol . Basically, it was just a big mess that the shopvac sucked up. Shredded wool, sand, wasp nest, rust flakes, dirt chunks, nails...all kinds of stuff in that rail. You should've seen the shoddy workmanship of the floor patch that was over the whole thing - it looked like a scab peeling off when I was cutting the floor out. Needless to say, I've cleaned and repaired the rail, and covered the holes to seal it until I get around to buying the floor plug kit for all the holes.

Coming soon - disc brakes, electronic ignition and a whole host of other stuff I forgot to mention. The list goes on and on. Basically, it's my new toy
ok, we deal with ALOT of cars that were filled with 'interesting' items. dead critters aside we have seen used diapers as seat padding under the seat cover, one car had 3 differant kinds of seats, in my '89 Escort ALL the wires going to a harness were black and then coming out the other side it was ALL speaker wire, we have found differant kinds of..umm..not found in the pharmacy kinda drugs, found a cow skull, bag full of broken cell phones, enough beer cans cramed in the engine compartment to scare you out of driving....

I found a 3/8" Matco combo wrench in the driver's door of my 68. That's it with my 68.
This topic came up on another Mustang board months ago. The best thing someone found in a vintage Mustang over there was the skeletol remains of a human foot in a sneaker. The car was a badly mangled parts car that they bought.

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
I had fun looking at all the loose change from the late 60's and early 70's that I found under the rear seat and under the carpet. I also had the mud nests from wasps underneath... the neatest thing I found was a receipt from a gas station dated March 17, 1971. 10.2 gallons $6.15............. Makes me sick!
welp mine is not too interesting. I owned a 70 Cougar xr7, upon the dismantle....some factory person placed a 1970 quarter under the carpet sound barrier material.

only thing i've found so far is when i was replacing my quarter panel ornaments on my 66 and took off the inner quarter panels, i found a super old whistle in there.
So I know this is off subject from what I made this thread for, but it goes along with the "while you're restoring" theme that I made this thread for. At any rate, you guys can get a laugh at my expense.
While I was working under my car, I have a three way plug extension I use so I can have multiple things under the car with me at the same time. Well, one of the plugs pulled out a little bit (unnoticed by me, of course) and as things got dragged around under there with me, somehow my e-brake cable, which was hanging down from the rear axle and laying on the floor, worked its way over the three way and was touching the plug in the three way that had slightly pulled out. Had a nice little surprise waiting for me - the first 1965 electric mustang! I couldn't figure out why it felt weird to touch the car, and especially the door when I pulled myself out (the current was even stronger there). The entire car was charged until I realized the ebrake cable was on the plug.
Anyone else done something like that?

Hi again. I took the door panels off of a Ferrari 250GT Buono once and somebody had written " Lo Stallone di Taurus Seduto" ( Sitting Bull's stallion) on the back of one of them.
Veronica, what're y'all doin' messin' with a dang Ferrari?
I've got a friend in Australia who sold his Ferrari and bought a '65 Mustang Fastback.
Lo Stallone di Taurus Seduto" .. Doesn't that mean it was actor Sylvester's Taurus Sedan?

Hi again. I had to kind of slum around on whatever raggedy old cars I could find work on while my husband was still in college. Some folks kind of liked those 250 Ferraris from the 50s and early 60s, so it wasn't too tough to stay busy.

Those cars have quite a following. Another website I visit, and someone I've emailed with, owns a 63 330GT America he's redone and reassembled from boxes. He also owns a 65 Mustang fastback too!
