Default 1967 Mustang Headlight Bucket Replacement

Hi all,
This is my first post besides my introduction. Does anyone know the procedure for installing new headlight buckets or front fender extensions as sometimes called. I have a 1967 mustang fastback.
Do you have to remove the fender ? Seems like it on initial try.
Any suggestions for this? I hate to start taking the fender off if it is not nessasary.
thank you !

First Look at the trim ring ( around the headlight). It has four screws holding it in. Remove them. Once the trim ring /door is removed, you will find the four 1/4 inch bolts holding on the bucket. It's that easy. Don't forget to unplug your headlight.

The grille molding has to be removed too along with the fastner (sometimes missing/broken) that the tab of the headlight extension bolts to the filler (gravel) panel behind the bumper.

i dont know about all the others but my 67 fastback the buckets are bolted from the rear of the bucket. you can remove them without taking off the fender with a long extention and ratchet but it is a little aggrevating especially the top inside bolt. but also you do need to unbolt it from the stone guard and grille.
