Default Infomation about engine serial number

Hi, i'm new here and sorry about my english, but i've a few questions I would like to be answered if possible.

I have a 68 Ford Mustang GT Fastback, and i've been read a few things about the engine serial number, and most say that there is no records of the'60s.
In fact, already tried and I can not find it in
I have the New York State Registation receipt and i've read in this forum that are 6 numbers.
My question is whether these numbers appear on Registation receipt??
How can i know the engine serial number, if that information isn't correct?

The Vin is 8T02C151377

Can someone help me??

Thanks...

Hello. If you go here Marti Auto Works - concours quality parts at hobbyist prices ! they have the original Ford records on your car. They tell you what color it was originally, what options it came with, the exact day that it was built, where it was sold when it was new, all of that stuff. It costs a couple of dollars, but it is well worth it. Hope that helps.

There are several decoders on the net. Marti Auto Works will give you the most info but from the vin you posted, the following is decoded:

8=1968
T=Metuchen, NJ
02=2+2 Fastback
C=289 2V
151377=Production number

Your car was also built around January 15th or 16th 1968.

I have 8T01J151341 as a scheduled build date of January 15th (15A)
