Hello,

I just joined the All Ford Mustangs forum. I saw a posting via google of someone named Veronica that might be able to help. I have a 69 Sportsroof that is missing the door data plate tag. I have located many dates from all tha various body stamping date codes, but was trying to determine the final assembly build date. They range from March 17 on some samll trunk braces to May 14 for front fender and engine compartment panels. I know these are all stamped ahead of time. VIN is 9T02F204494 (Metuchen built). Also since there were three different production facilities I believe that there would be three different cars with the same last 6 of the VIN but they would be from the Dearborn & San Jose facilities instead.

I would appreciate any help provided.

Hello. All of my stuff is on the 65/66 cars, but, on your car you can get a Marti report and it will tell you waaay more than you probably wanted to know, like when the car was scheduled to be built, when it was actually built, all of that stuff. He'll also make you a new data plate. Just go to Marti Auto Works - concours quality parts at hobbyist prices ! Hope that helps.

Your car was built around May 26th, 1969.

Looking at my Mustang production book I have 9T02H204722 as 27E (May 27).

Got my Marti Report. Anybody know what dealership #-22A401 is? Also, what is the Sports Appearance Group with Tape Stripe option? None of my literature, sales brocures or price lists show this group. Does anyone know if this is the Exterior Decor Group?

By the way Jay H 237 was correct - my car was produced on May 26, 1969. Anybody know the last production number mustang produced at Metuchen, Original Production Start date at Metuchen and Final Production Date at Metuchen? Also I had a 100,00 series Mach-1 from San Jose and now a 200,000 series Sportsroof from Metuchen. Were the Dearborn produced cars 300,000 series production numbers?
