Default Engine Color for a 65 fastback

Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to rebuild my engine, and I had planned to paint the engine bay and engine while it was out. I've been researching the proper coloring for the 65 engines because it's the original with matching numbers, so I'd like to take it back to the original paint color.

Unfortunately I keep finding several different colors recommended... My car is a 65 "c" code fastback, does anyone know for a fact what colors the engine was? If you have pictures of a properly painted engine that would be awesome!

Thanks!

Ah nevermind, I found an article at Mustang Monthly on it that seems pretty reliable. If anyone's interested here's the link, they cover the colors for the majority of the classic mustangs:

Your engine is painted black, all black, except the valve covers and the air cleaner. Those are painted the Ford gold.
