Default Quarter Windows for Shelbys only?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to expand my knowledge of Mustang history... those quarter windows that were on the 66 Shelbys, is that the only year they were used? Were they only available on Shelbys?

Also curious, just on personal preferences, do you guys like the look of them? I've always preferred the vents, though I understand the whole idea of rarity, especially if it was a Shelby thing and only for that year.

Thanks for any answers!

Hello. Yup, those were 66 Shelby only, although you can get a kit to do that to a Mustang from Tony Branda. I like the way that they look on a 66 Shelby. Not so crazy about it on a Mustang. The problem is that there is some sheet metal on the car that you have to cut out to install the windows, and people are hacking up the cars fast enough already without adding that one to the list.
