Default Cheapest Gas You Remember?

Just thought I'd date some people in here. What was the cheapest gas you remember growing up? Think this would fall under Classic Talk I mean look at that classic cost of gas!!!!!

Just bear in mind that I am in New Zealand but the first time I bought fuel was about 1969.
3 gallons of std was $1.10

I used to pay 23 cents a gallon to fill my Taco 44 mini-bike (about 1971.)

I remember turning 16 in 1987 and paying $0.88/gal to fill up my crappy Ford Pinto.

I remember 50 cents per gallon from 1977. I have a 1947 gas slip from my fathers company - 8 gallons for $1

Cheapest I paid in high school was .75 cents/gallon. In my dad's time, he was paying about a nickel a gallon.

2003 V-6 - the usual bolt-ons. Gremlin taking up residence in the idler pulley. I'll finish this one when I'm done with the other one.
1965 coupe - Born - straight six standard issue
Now - 5.0 motor, T5 tranny, R&P, full length subframe connectors, draglink bars, hedman headers
Coming soon - disc brakes, electronic ignition and a whole host of other stuff I forgot to mention. The list goes on and on. Basically, it's my new toy

yep...$.16 in '73 and when it jumped to $.35!!! man we thought we were being gouged. note how long it took from .35 to .50 from mid 70's to 1990??? economics/inflation don't add up ....do they?

I remember paying About $0.75 in the late 80's, I nevere paid attention before I started driving in 1985 when it was about $1.20.

I can't remember exactly, I think it was about $1.35-1.55 in 1992 when I started driving, depending on what station and what grade. I had a Dodge Omni so I didn't have to stop for gas that often!
