Hello, I just purchased a 1965 Mustang convertible with a deluxe interior that has an old 1980s restoration. The data plate code indicates that it was built with the deluxe interior, 76
B, but it does not have the 5 dial instrument panel. It was one of the first pony interior
cars produced because the date code is February 14, 1965. I read that the camera finish glove box and instrument panel were available in the deluxe interior before 3/8/65, which mine has, but everywhere I read says all pony interiors have the 5 dial cluster and wood grain finish. I am wondering if, in addition to having the black camera finish, it is possible that this very early pony interior had the standard 1965 instrument panel, or is this definitely a modification? Any expert information would be helpful and appreciated! Thanks!!!
