Default How rare is the 1969 Mustang GT?

it was the last year of gt cars. how rare are they and what motors were in them?how many were produced? also can anyone explain deluxce interior to me on the 67-69 or 70 cars. i know the 65-66 deluxce interior had the ponies on the seats and woodgrain instrument clusters and glove box, and special door panels with the pistol grip door handles., , wood grain steering wheel and some other stuff but what consisted of the 67-70 deluxe interiors that made them deluxe?

There were 4,973 Mustang GT's made in 1969

The Deluxe Interior had sculptured door panels, lot's of simulated wood grain accents on the console and dash, a different instrument arrangement and high-back bucket seats. The Deluxe Interior was standard equipment on the Grande, Mach 1 and Boss 429 models.

Not sure where that number came from, Kevin Marti has it as 6,694. That's 1,483 coupes, 4,084 Sportsroofs, and 1,127 converts.

The base engine for a GT was the H code (351 2v) same as the Mach.

Now here's where it gets confusing........

The H code Mach was the only Mach to come standard with single exhaust, dual was optional. M code (351 4v) and higher engined Machs got dual exhaust standard.

But, the H code GT got dual exhaust standard, and the same with any other higher engined GT.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
