Default Is there a fastback conversion kit available for 1967 Mustang or 1968 Mustang coup's

hello, i'm new here and am looking forward to getting to know other mustang enthuiestes. i own a restoration shop in vermont that only deals with musle cars from the 60's and 70's. we are currently doing a 70 boss 429 car. it was pretty rough but worth saving. does anyone out there know if there is a fastback conversion kit available for 67 or 68 coup's. i have a basic understanding of how it's done but the inner support and roof rail dont seem to be available. i'v restored a few mustang's in the past so i know how there put together but if any one out there has done one of these i would greatly appreciate any info. thank's RAY

Happy Holidays and welcome. I believe the roof support is available now through Mustangs Unlimited and perhaps other places too. The drip rail I haven't seen yet. Now they are reproducing the body so someone is making them.

Dynacorn does make the bodies email them and ask if they will sell you everything you need. Its the roof the trunk back window door glass. The interior you need the mounts from the back folding seat and all the other parts. There is a company or two that does this now but i can get a real fastback the same price fix the rust tho.

There was a company on eBay that sold nothing but conversion kits for '67-68 cars. If I remember correctly, you could buy one of their pre-fabbed kits, or they would do the conversion for you, or you could even purchase an already converted car. It shouldn't be too hard to track them down.

I've been by their shop. Some nice projects in there, although I don't have any direct experience with them to comment on quality.

There's some brief info on their web site about the coupe to fastback conversion: 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 « Specializing in Coupe to Fastback Conversions!

And some pics. Can't have enough pics! http://www.drakecustoms.com/projects...efastback1.swf
