Default whats the difference and which is better..?

between a 1967 427 and a 1968 427? neither are cobre jets just plain jane 427s and what are they worth ?they are both very top notch runners though not in a car yet.also what is the correct catd that should be on these motors?

One difference is in 68 the cam went from mechanical to hydraulic. Also the compression dropped .2.

i need more info on theses motors than that. thank you very much anyway. Veronica, Veronica where art thou?whats the hrs pwr rating, what they are worth, what type of carbs? all the good stuff about just plain jane 67-68 427's. then i want to know the difference between them and cobra jets and super cobra jets ( which i think were only 428's)please help veronica.

Ask and you shall receive. Horsepower/ torque- 427- 4v 410 @ 5600/ 476 @ 3400 427-8v 425 @ 6000/ 480 @ 3700, sohc427-4v-616 @7000 515 @ 3800, sohc427-8v-657 @ 7500/ 540 @ 3700, 428-4v-345 @4600/ 462 @ 2800, 428-8v/gt500-355 @ 5400/ 420 @ 3200, 428cj-335 @ 5200/ 440 @ 3400. Compression- 427 4v/8v- 11.5 :1, sohc-12.5 ;1, 428-10.6 :1. Bore size 427-4.23, 428-4.13. Stroke-427-3.78, 428-3.98. Both had nodular iron cranks except for the 427 from 65-68. That's it for now I gotta go new years par-tayin'.
