Are your gauges still working and it's just your dash lights that quit? I'd check the grounding wire to see if it's loose since the fuse is fine.

Hey jnlbrooks - I'm a little confused between your two posts - the first said your switch was fine, now you're saying the switch does not work? The wire I speak of is on the back of the gauge panel in the dash. I've got mine gutted and I'm replacing the panel, and the panel I'm pulling pieces off of has a black ground wire screwed down on a stud on the back of it - it's one of those that you plug a single wire into, so my thought was that it could have pulled out.

By you saying that all your lights work except the dash ones, you have a complete circuit running those. Since the dash lights don't work, there's a break somewhere between the power source wire and where it's grounded out. I don't have a wiring schematic of the dash harness in front of me to tell you which wires to look at, but if you can grab one use it to help you trace the power wire in the dash harness to find the break. A test light or ohm meter can help if you have one.

Thanks, I will try to obtain one and see what i can trace down. The switch works all the lights but when you rotate it there is no dash activity as far as the dash lights are concerned!! I unplugged the wiring harness and and tried a test light, I had power to 2 contacts with the lights turned on but would not dim when the power was lowered with the switch by rotating it to dim!!

Also the ground wires are all connected and snug !!!!!!
