Default d2ae-ca block, 4ma crank=CJ 1972?

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ach1122008.jpg
This is my other stang, a 1973 mach one that has the above listed motor in it with 2 bolt mains. A swap for sure, but in my searching the block is a CJ? The crank does not have the "B" for brinelle testing under the 4MA

The heads are 72 2bbl and the intake 72 2bbl, carb 67 2bbl, FMX trans as I got it. Now 2bbl heads, eldelbrock intake demon jr, crane cam.

My question is-what do I have here? A CJ or something else?

I don't know where I put my Ford interchange manual with the part numbers.

If I remember right (decoding) a D2AE block is infact 1972 and the A is reference to the Torino line. The E is for Engine.

I'll have to see if I can find my book, I normally keep several of them here by the computer but had to straighten up the house for the holidays.

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

Thats the odd part, my books say 4 bolt mains, but the block does not. when I took it apart it had the original cast pistons/rods with 2 valve notches, original bearings/cam. I do not think the heads are original but are dated the same time frame

Well Ford has done some weird things. Check the block to see if the tapped holes are there for the 4-bolt mains.
