Default Disc brakes on 1966

I would like to convert over to disc brakes on my 1966 but can't afford to spend $2,500to do it. is there a less expensive way to achieve this? any help would be appreciated!

Master Power Brakes typically gets good reviews. I believe that their power disc conversion kits retail just over $1,000.

there are great kits out there...as drummingrocks suggests... i once had a book on restomoding gen 1 mustangs that suggested "the Granada (sp?) conversion"... used parts salv'ed off of later model Ford sedan that basically bolted right in... help from some of the Gen 1 guys???
