Exclamation 65 mustang stuoid rust ?

Hello dont know a lot about these mustangs
but is the roof rusting out from the inside out normal . I went to start repairing the rust problems on my roof and stripping the paint off found extensive damage removed the headliner and found all the rust on the inside is digging thru is this normal It looks like the condensation was staying in the insulation and eating the roof .Normal or Not Thanks in advance Andy

Not good...Sounds like there was alot of moisture trapped inside the car. The roof is not easy to replace.

It's a safe bet that if the roof is that rusty, then the dash, doors, etc. are also rusting from the inside.

I once knew of a '64.5 car that a lady wanted to get rid of. The car had been under a lean-to, and had stayed in that damp environment for almost 10 years. The car was literally rusting from the inside out. I know everybody's different, but I'm not sure you can ever stop rust that's forming from the inside out. I'd be too afraid that I'd get the car looking good, paint it, and then have to do the same job all over again in 4-5 years.
