Default 1967 Shelby GT500 White $190K anyone?

Anybody got $190,000 dollars I can have for this dream Mustang? I think I'm in love! If you've got one post the pictures and tell me if you bought it that way or if you restored it.

Hello. Maybe two years ago that car would have brought 190K, but, right now, it will do well to get 100. I had a 67 GT-350 about 12 years ago that was a pretty nice car. I only cost about 20K back then, though, not some insane six figure sum. . I have some pictures of it somewhere. I'll see if I can dig them up.

Default Modding the New Vs. Restoring a Classic

Looking at a classic like the '67 makes me wonder if buying my new Mustang wouldn't have been a bit premature. I love my S197 and I can't wait to get home and start modding it to fit me, but there has to be something to finding a classic and restoring it. I spent about 30 grand on my 2008 V6 S197, I wonder how far that same $30k would have gotten me buying a derelict classic and started to restore it? I didn't grow up in a "shade tree" mechanic household and modding cars is a new project for me. As far as spending $190k on a car, even a Mustang, I don't think so. But it's nice to dream!

Phantom_strngr, I know what you mean. I have always loved the White with Blue stripes combo. It just looks so clean. If I were to get an old or new Shelby, that's the color combo I would want. The Parchment interior looks so nice instead of the usual black too. Too bad there were so many produced in black and not parchment eh? Plus, you can't not love the classic Shelby lines...

Default Bitten by the Mustang Bug

I'm looking around now on Ebay, Craigslist and other sites. I'm going to buy myself a classic and fix it up. This Mustang Bug has me bad! I'm not sure yet what I will find but I know we all dream of that hidden Mustang treasure in someone's barn or garage. Looks like you and your dad have your project car. I wonder if I can get my daughter to help me, she is kind of a Tomboy. I've got a buddy who's getting ready to sell a 04 GT convertable that I might buy but that's not a classic.
