Are Metal Tubes for a Power Top on '66 Mustang Convertible?

I am not sure if this 1966 Mustang convertible originally had a power top from the factory. Are the metal tubes in the backseat wall for a power top on a 1966 Mustang convertible and, if so, did all convertibles come with them or just convertibles with power tops?

The red arrow points to one of the metal tubes in the backseat wall on the driver's side.

There is also a metal tube on the opposite or passenger side.

It's been a while since I had the interior out of my '65 convertible. If I remember correctly, it doesn't have those tubes, and it's an original power top car.

Those metal tubes appear to be holders of the hydraulic cylinders for the top to travel up and down. I still would like to know if they are only for a power top.

I have a 67 apart right now and it has those same cylinders and it is a manuel top there are springs inside them

Dave, are those springs attached to the top frame to help ease it up and down?
