1) My research says that the 736 page Bob Mannel book on the small block Ford engine is one of the better ones from an original, technical standpoint. Am I correct?

2) Where do I buy one? I found a website that seems to sell them but its not a very professional looking site and I wanted to make sure it was 'for real' before I gave them my credit card number. Anyone familiar with this site? Hopefully its not a storefront in Nigeria?

OK, I just received the Bob Mannel small block book and IT IS FANTASTIC. Anyone with a small block engine without this book is missing out. So the answer to my question #1 is: Yes, this is THE book.

As for question #2: Yes, you can order it directly from Bob at http://www.fordsmallblock.com/online...ore/index.html. This website is the direct link to RPM Press which I believe is Bob himself. Bob is big in the Fairlane club so some of the links are more Fairlane related but the book itself covers all small block engines. The book ships from his Tennessee address to your mailbox anywhere in the US (outside TN) by USPS Media Mail for a total of $40 to your Visa. (Those in TN must pay extra sales tax.)

I have no connection to Bob but I think everyone with a 221/260/289/302 should have one of these books since he has done such a thorough and excellent job. Bob even once owned a Mustang.
