Wheel paint on a 1968 Mustang

Default Wheel paint on a 1968 Mustang
I am planning on getting some aftermarket rims and will be painting and storing my original steel wheels and hub caps. I am wondering what finish the steel wheels had on them from the factory, Weather it was a gloss or a satin finish.

You should have them powder coated painted wheels don't last long.

They will be painted to protect from rust while they are in the basement. I won't be driving on these wheels anytime soon.
