Default Flowmaster question on 1968 Mustang

Is there anything I can do to make the flowmasters on my 68 a little louder. They sound great, yes, but I would really like for them to have a little more pop. Thanks

If you have the tools and know-how, you can open the mufflers up and remove some of the baffles. A bigger cam will also give you a more ballsy sound. How much were you looking to spend? If you are really on a budget, you can drill some holes in the muffler, but I don't think that's what you were going for.

What Flowmasters do you have on your Mustang. I have 50 series on my 67 as they are pretty tame. The 40 series are much louder to me. My Mustang has a 428CI with 2 1/2 inch exhaust.

i have 50 series 3 inch flowmasters dumped infront of the rear on my stang and it sounds great. i also have a full 3 inch x-pipe system on it too. i may switch to a different muffler later tho because the 50's are massive.

If your looking to add noise without spending much money or buying new mufflers... just have someone with a torch cut open your cats (if you put them on) and smash out the baffles. Then just re-weld them on, or you can weld them around your exause pipe so you don't have anything going through them at all.
